Venus Series #2

11"x15" on raw cotton linen handmade canvas. This series of figures that communicate with one another were painted to either move as a triptych or stand alone on their own. I was inspired by the figure in Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" pose. Along with his "The Three Graces", these small works embody the lyricism and sensuality of the female figure.
