Antiqued #2

16'x20" mixed water media on handmade canvas. The Antiqued Series is inspired by original drawings I've done on my grandfather's art pads from the 1940's. Through my technique of layering multiple wet mediums, I created a waxy, textured background for the figure to rest on. Antiques are never perfect, which makes their aged stories more interesting. This series pays homage to my new work on my grandfather's paper.
